CM Khandu conveys New Year greetings

ITANAGAR, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has extended New Year greetings and best wishes to the people of the state.

In a message this evening he said, “2021 is going by and it is taking with it many memories – both good and bad – upon which we have to build on, no matter what.”

Khandu thanked everyone, especially all health care and front line workers for successfully combating the COVID pandemic and cooperating with the government to sail through the bad days.

“We did lose few precious lives to the pandemic but we need to see the positive side – we have saved thousands of lives too,” he pointed.

He, however, cautioned that the ‘war against COVID’ is not over and people should not let their guards down. He appealed all to adhere to the protocol issued by the health department while celebrating the New Year eve.

“My endeavour will always be to reach out to the people. As Mahatma Gandhi believed that real India resides in the villages, I believe real Arunachal is in the interior, rural and untouched pockets far away from the bustles of the state capital,” he said.

Khandu assured holistic approach for holistic development of each and every region of Arunachal Pradesh through the mantra of equitable distribution.

“At this juncture, I would exhort everyone to forget the avoidable memories of the past and welcome the New Year with a new spirit. Let us commit ourselves to peace and development. Let us promise to work together for prosperity of every individual, community and region of our state. Let this New Year be the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Arunachal Pradesh,” he added.
