ITANAGAR, SEPT 2 : The Arunachal artistes forum (AAF) on Saturday has annual general body meeting of state executive body and discuses various issue for promotion of music and development and welfare of artists community of state. The AAF hope that the state government may consider their genuine issue submitted through memorandum to state chief minister Pema Khandu earlier.
Search committee Chairman and senior artistes Bengia Tabb inform the media that today was an important day wherein several issue of the AAF was discussed, several points of the bye law of the AAF was also gone through and reviewed, every members present has participated and put forward their advice and suggestion. He said.
A new committee was also elected on the occasion based on the recommendation of members of artist community of various tribes of state. The present Chairman Takam Dado Tallom has been re-elected while Yami Laij has been elected as general secretary. Both of them will sit again and further the new executive body will be constituted who well have to work for promotion of music and welfare of artist’s community of state irrespective of cast, creed, tribe and religion. He said.
AAF Chairman Takam Dado Tallom inform that our organization established for the purpose of considering to promote the interest of the artistes community of state and also to work for promotion of music, songs and imbibe the same among the youths of state to become a good professional like of artist of other states and country. He said.
We have submitted a memorandum to the state government with few important and genuine demands and few of them has been shorted out while more to be done and hope that Chief Minister Pema Khandu may look into the matter of the artist community. He also thanks the CM for providing a place for its office and have expectation for the resolving the other genuine issues by the state government. Said AAF Chairman.
We have a clear-cut roadmap for promotion of artistes community of state and we have once discussed the issue with the government and again it will continue, a corpus fund was kept in the budget but we will approach the government for increasing, we will emphasis that the state government may implement artistes pension schemes of artistes, reservation for artistes in tourism, art & culture deptt, tourism deptt another, will always discard drug form the society.
