Selected ITW candidate demanded an appointment within seven days and threatened to go on a hunger strike

ITANAGAR, The new selected Candidate  of 7th batch of Itanagar Traffic warden (ITW) has served 7 days ultimatum to capital Complex District administration in particular and state government in general for immediate appointment to those entire candidate who has successfully completed their interview and intensive training and practical recently.

Expressing unhappy over the delay in appointment to 7th batch of ITW candidate, one Takar Yoka informed that a walk-in interview was called by the office of Deputy commissioner Itanagar, Capital Complex Itanagar, for the engagement of traffic warden on master roll basis on 26 June 2021

Duly issued an advertisement by Talo Potom, Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex ,Itanagar for the purpose.

Accordingly we among the interested candidates submitted our documents as per information around 972 candidates were submitted their document out of which 423 candidates were qualified for physical selection test which was conducted on dated 2nd to 4th July 2021 and again out of 423 candidates 50 candidates had been selected in merit basis after conducting viva voice  and out of 50  candidates 37 candidates were finally selected for 15 days physical training which conducted on 7th to 21st August 2021. And all the were successfully completed our training but the competent authority has not given appointment and nor engaging us in duty.

And for the last two month we are jobless and waiting for a response from DC capital.

He also claimed that a maximum of candidates were engaged in part time jobs in Courier service as delivery boy and other private companies, during training they left their part time job and now we are all jobless.

He also added that few of our members were unable to attend their SI exam due to busy ITW training.

In this regards we had met many times to DC capital but he just sent back us with empty hand and on 31st   August DC issued a order saying that the engagement of selected ITW’s and waiting list candidates shall be kept in abeyance till further order due to agitation of old ITW’s and consequence discussion the authorities.

And now senior or old ITW were rejoined in their duty but still have received no response from the government and in this regard we have also submitted representation to the Chief Secretary of state, he added.  

We shall try another attempt to meet the DC Talo Potom as a final call or else after that we will go for democratic movement as we are now totally jobless and finding no solution to our problem we have to go to democratic movement for our right and justice and the DC should do justice to us. Another candidate said adding that the authority should fulfill the demand within seven days if they failed to fulfill their demand we may even go on a hunger strike.
