New Baily Bridge with Enhanced Load Capacity Launched in Yingkiong

Yingkiong: In a remarkable display of skill and dedication, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) successfully launched a new Baily Bridge with an enhanced load capacity of 4OR on the Ditte-Dimme-Migging Road today, July 5, 2023. This achievement comes after the collapse of an existing 80 feet Baily Bridge on June 19, 2023, which had a load class of 18R.

The parts for the new bridge were collected from various locations of Project Brahmank, and within a record time of five days, a new 80 feet Double Single Baily Bridge with a load capacity of 40R was constructed. The extraordinary courage displayed by the karmayogis of 105 RCC under 761 BRTF, Project Brahmank, led by OC Mrs. Obing Taki, played a pivotal role in accomplishing this task. Miss Bhawana Joshi, the OIC, and her team members, along with the support of AEE Aman Kumar, JE (Civ) Rana Shyam, and dedicated CPLS, all karmayogis of Project Brahmank, contributed their great efforts.

The successful completion of the bridge has now restored connectivity on the Ditte-Dimme-Migging Road, providing relief to the road users and fulfilling the strategic needs of the Security Forces. This road holds immense significance in facilitating troop movement and serving as a vital link to the remotest village in the Upper Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh.

Despite challenging circumstances, the karmayogis of BRO, under Project Brahmank, constructed a diversion for traffic within 72 hours, enduring heavy rain and adverse weather conditions. However, recognizing the need for a permanent solution, immediate action was taken to launch the new Baily Bridge with an enhanced load capacity of 4OR.

The Project Brahmank of BRO expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the entire team of 105 RCC for their dedication, skill, and tireless efforts in making this achievement possible. This remarkable feat demonstrates their commitment to the socio-economic and strategic development of the Upper Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh.
