ITANAGAR, April 8 : The main motto of the Itanagar Municipal corporation is to maintain cleanliness in the capital complex and garbage management and the state government is fully supporting the IMC but would only be possible if all the denizens also extend helping hands. Said IMC Mayor Tame Phasang.
Phasang was speaking to media after taking part in the swachhta abhiyan being organised by BJP state headquarter on account of azadi ka amrit mahotsava year and 75th year of India independence celebration across the country by the ruling BJP in centre and in state.
Phasang said that the IMC is trying to deliver goods to the people and best services to the capital city and the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu has also raised the fund for the management of IMC affairs.
The land for solid waste management as per guidelines of NGT has also been finalized and the mechanical works of the crematorium at Karsingsa has also been completed. I hope everything goes well and we are able to make the capital complex a clean city. The cleanliness and garbage management is a general issue and it would only be possible and successful if all the stakeholders join hands together including the each and every household and commercial premise owner pay their garbage charges to the concerned IMC workers and dispose off the garbage’s to the IMC vehicle and do not throw garbage in the street and public places. Said Mayor Phasang.
Several plans and policies are being framed and implemented in phase manner, every member living in IMC is responsible for making the capital city clean and a beautiful city and can bring the lost glow and appeal to all sections of society to extend cooperation. Phasang added.
BJP sthapana diwas organizing chairman and Vice President Tarh Tarak inform that all the party leaders are taking part in several activities of the party across the state including taking part in blood donation, social service, all the morcha have given different programmes which are being organized in various parts of state. He said.
Today swachh abhyan was organized by Minority morcha and ST morcha and supported by IMC and few senior members of the party are also taking part and motivating the youths to maintain clean and green city.
