ITANAGAR, AUGUST 1 ; A case has been registered at Kimin police station against the act of Assam officer and officials of North Lakhimpur district administration, forest department and police personnel for carrying out eviction drive and destruction of property of individuals in Lora village of Kimin circle recently. Informed Papum Pare SP Dr, Neelam Nega.
A case vide Kimin PS Case No 12/21 U/S 447/379/427/34 IPC registered in this regard pertaining to this Lora village issue, A detailed discussion with SP Lakhimpur has been done. He has assured me that he too would exert sincere effort to maintain peace along the Arunachal-Assam border areas. Dr. Nega said.
The situation is under control. SP added.
It is to mention that a group of officials from Assam on Friday destroyed properties inside Arunachal territory at Lora village under Papum Pare district. The Assam officials destroyed newly planted tea saplings and paddy fields and fencing etc of private individuals of Lora village under Kimin circle.
