Yupia session court rejects bail plea of Minoty Borang Soroh

YUPIA, Nov 10: The Session Court Yupia on Thursday rejected anticipatory bail petition of accused Minoty Borang Saroh. She had filed a petition plea on the grounds of her six minor children to be taken care of.

Considering the ongoing investigation against the entire accused involved in the  Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leakage fiasco, Saroh’s bail was rejected to avoid any hindrance, informed Public Prosecutor (PP) advocate Kagam Bagra.

Saying, since the investigation is going on it would be detrimental to the process of investigation, if he comments on the process of investigation, Investigation Officer (IO) Techi Naga said, “I am satisfied with the argument that was   placed by the PP,”.

Earlier, amidst the hearing of anticipatory bail petition was scheduled for accused Minoty Borang, as many as hundreds of aspirants staged a protest dharna in front of Session  Yupia court’s gate here on Thursday.

Granting bail to the accused would leave adverse effects on entire aspirants including their parents, said protestors.

In the nutshell granting bail to the accused will boost the corrupted officers who have taken undue advantages by murdering aspirant’s dream to play with the sentiments of aspirants again in furure, added aspirants.

“Lives of thousands of aspirants are at stake, then why are arrested accused to be given bail,” said protestors. Adding single handedly deputy controller of examinations Taket Jerang cannot carry out nefarious activities without involvement of his superiors in the chairs, added protestors.

Stating everyone has equal share in the money paid by the candidate’s parents to the Taket Jerang, they further suggested, instead of granting bail to the accused, rather CBI and SIC should broaden the investigation by going hand in hand together to nab all the culprits involved in the scams.

Granting anticipatory bail petition to the accused is depending upon the chargesheet file by the SIC, therefore SIC is accountable to the aspirants, if accused get bailed, said aspirants. As they have already experienced the court’s procedure in the past regarding the 2014 paper leakage issue without any outcomes, equally aspirants are keeping vigilance upon the investigation of recent scam being carried out by the SIC, , added aspirants.
