Weather conditions hampering JK Road (TAH) work : MLA Balo Raja

ITANAGAR, Jun 7: The Palin MLA Balo Raja has said that work on Joram-Koloriang (JK) road is slowly picking pace in the recent month. Talking to the press here on Monday he said even though the pace of work is slow, it is definitely making some progress.

“Due to our repeated intervention the work is in progress even though there is some issue regarding compensation claim. The weather also affected the progress. I appeal to the public to extend cooperation with the contractor,” said MLA Raja.

He also shared that Kra Daadi district administration has appointed nodal officers to constantly monitor the work. “I am also regularly in touch with district administration and contractors. Instruction has been passed that road should be kept open and people should not face harassment due to blockade,” said MLA Raja.

On the controversy regarding compensation claim, he said in the package there is some issue regarding land compensation.

“Some of these claims are genuine. Therefore, we have submitted a proposal to the government and are waiting for its approval. Even though compensation has not been paid, the work is going and people have supported,” he added.
