We have already sent the recommendation of suggestion of all stakeholders with regards to extension of partial lockdown in capital complex- DC Talo Potom

ITANAGAR, Jun 18: The deputy commissioner of Itanagar capital region (ICR) Talo Potom has said that state government will soon take a decision based on the suggestions made by state health task force regarding the partial lockdown measures in place in the ICR which ends on June 21 next. Talking to the press here on Friday Potom said ICR District Administration (DA) held a meeting with stakeholders on Thursday and widely discussed the issue.

 “The members of market committees, IMC, religious leaders, local MLA, student bodies etc attended the virtual meeting. Based on various inputs and suggestions made by those who attended the meeting, the District administration has submitted suggestions to the state government,” informed DC Potom.

The district administration has also taken the suggestion and recommendation of the district medical task force and medical department.

 He said the DA is awaiting orders from the government in this regard. “Till now nothing has been finalized on whether to continue the partial lockdown or lift it,” he said.

Even though the covid pandemic is not over as of now and we have to remain alert and need to obey the covid protocol and understand the need of safety measure so that we remain uninfected and stay safe from the coronavirus and with all out effort put by all stakeholders we may be able to zero down the covid figure in the capital region. Potom added.
