ITANAGAR, A two wheeler rider reportedly died in a road accident in between Hapoli-Old Ziro in Lower Subansiri district on Sunday. Informed SP Harsh Indora.
SP Ziro, Indora while confirming the accident said that an accident was reported on Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) between Old Ziro –Hapoli near Bamin village wherein the rider succumbed to his injury while the pillion rider received serious injury who has been evacuated to the TRIHMS, Naharlagun for further treatment. SP said.
A case has been registered at Ziro police station and further legal formalities are being done. he said.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Magar and the injured person has been identified as Hemanta. Both are residents of Laluk police station area of North Lakhimpur district, Assam. SP said.
As per preliminary investigation it is reported that the motorcycle in which two wheelers were riding was in speed and lost control and skid off the road and a tragic accident took place. The motorcycle bearing registration no AS 07 S 9805 has been seized. SP added.
