ITANAGAR, FEB 14 : Two person reportedly died in a tragic road accident in Bopi area of Kamle district on Monday morning. Sources said.
Former MLA Dikto Yikar who takes part in rescue operation nearby Bopi area on Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) informed over phone from Daporijo that I was on way to Daporijo evacuated three person from nearby the accident site and bring three accident victims with the help of others to Daporijo General hospital. Reportedly one victim succumbed to his injury. the former MLA said
Out of four passengers, one lady died on spot while one male succumbed to his injury while two persons who are under medical treatment at General Hospital at Daporijo have received multiple injuries (fracture) and are stated to be in critical condition. Former MLA Yikar added.
Details of the victims are not clearly known but what was needed at that point of time I tried to extend. Former MLA further. said.
As per Police sources from Daporijo Police station in Upper Subansiri and Raga police station in Kamle district the accident reported in morning at around 11.45 to 1 PM the team of police from both police station has tried to reach to the place of occurrence (PO) but due to darkness and deep gorge could not reached.
As per police sources the ill fated vehicle is stated to to be Maruti Spresso Silver colour, the accident has been reported between Godak amd Bopi on TAH. The police sources said.
Reportedly one who was driving the car is Makka ligu and his wife Gumri Yidi ligu expired and two co-passengers were seriously injured and they were evacuated to General Hospital Daporijo; however the exact information and update is awaited.
