ITANAGAR, MACRH 12 : The winners of All India police sports meet-2023 held recently were felicitated at a function held at PHQ on Sunday. The Home & Border Affairs Minister Bamang Felix and DGP give away presentation and felicitated at a glittering function amid presence of several top official of APP.
ASP Dekio Gumja win gold in mens single, ASI Monya Riba bronze in age group of 45 and above, team of Dy SP N Sora & Dy SP Kalom Pait secured bronze in mans double of 50+ age group category held in Chandigarh. He said.
One SI Gangpong Gangsa of STF win gold in 38 Taekwondo senior nation al championship-2023 held at Pondicherry. He said
The Home Minister Felix and DGP Golcha motivated the meritorious sports persons and ask them to continue the tempo which would be an inspiration for the young police officers and officials and they continue playing various types of games and sports in APP at state and national level and even can compete whit other players in general category.
APP Sports control Board Asstiant Secretary and Dy SP Bulang Marik inform that 36 teams from various state and union territory and para military forces/CPO with 515 shuttlers took part in the tournament in 15th AIPBC, Chandigarh. CRPF Lifted the championship trophy with 17 medals followed by Mizoram with 10 medal while Arunachal Pradesh secured 3 medals with 1 gold and two bronze and stood in 8th position.
Marik inform that as of now total 59 police personnel’s including four women and playing various types of games and sports and are being supported by the PHQ and after the assurance of the DGP who is President of the APPSCB it is hoped that the sports in APP will grew at large and every police man wall play games and sports and maintain daily exercise to keep body fit and fine with a healthy body and sound mind.
