ITANAGAR, SEPT 1 ; The “ Solung” the festival of Adi community has been celebrated across the state with great pomp and show. The celebration has been celebrated in low profile due to covid 19 pandemic and heavy downpour.
The ritual and other ceremonial practices and activities of the festival were done here at Solung ground at 0 Point Tinali today morning even it has heavy rain.
Society for festival of Adiis (SFA) President Anong Perme, Capital Additional Deputy Commissioner Talom Dupok, Department of Indigenous Affair (DIA) Director Tai Taggu and senior officer of the community takes part in ceremonial celebration fo the festival.
Report of celebration of Solung has been received from several parts of state which include Rumgong, Boleng, Pasighat, Mariang, Tezu, Namsai, Naharlagun, Bhalukpong, Roing etc.
