SIC arrests Assistant Engineer for anomalies in road construction

NAHARLAGUN, Mar 11: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) today arrested an Assistant Engineer, identified as Tasi Messar for his involvement in anomalies in the construction of a Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road project.

The PMGSY road in question is from Komsing -Kumku to Sissen in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district.

The Assistant Engineer was arrested on the basis of a case No. 01/2021, registered on February 3, 2021 u/s 120(B)/409/420/468/47 1 of the IPC,1860 r/w Sec 13(2) of the PC Act, 1988.

During further investigation, the SIC arrested Tasi Messar, an Assistant Engineer (AE) of the Rural Works Department (RWD), Pangin on Friday.

IPS officer Dr. Hemant Tiwari in a press communiqué said the arrested official will be produced in the Court of Special Judge (PC Act) at Yupia on March 12, 2022.

“Further, the investigation of the present case is in progress and necessary action will be taken against all the offenders and will bring to a logical conclusion,” Dr Tiwari added.
