Search operation still continue to retrieve the third body

ITANAGAR, MAY 18 : The rescue operation to retrieve the third person from the debris still continue from the landslide zone of C-D Sector behind Punjabi dhaba in city. Said Capital SP Jimmy Chiram.

SP said that the search operation was continue and till evening of  Wednesday the third person could not be retrieved. He said. Two JCB has been damaged while one Folkland (Bulldozer) machine also got damaged during the operation. He said

Earlier during operation was in full progress but has been affected due to damaged of the earth mover at the site and today manually has also been started with the help of locals supported by the SDRF. SP added.

It is stated that the massive landslide has hit the OBT building at C-D Sector behind Punjabi dhaba on Sunday evening at around 9 PM. Out of three person trapped in the debris two person which include Taposh Rai, 15 years s/o Susanta Rai, Nagin Barman, 45 years s/o Madusudan Barman were retrieved on Sunday night and early morning of Monday but the body of the third person Kushum Rai, 35 years w/o Susanta Rai  is yet to retrieved form the debris and search operation continue since then. The official sources said.

As per official statement the search operation will continue with another bulldozer and the effort would be to retrieved Kushum Rai body from the debris.  

Itanagar EAC Takam Nicolas, Itanagar SDPO Kamdam Sikom, OC Phasang Simi, DDMO Moromi Dodum supervising the operation while  by Capital DC Talo Potom and SP Jimmy Chiram are constantly monitoring the situation of disaster in the entire capital complex.
