RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam attended regional Conference on Rural Dev and PMGSY

ITANAGAR, MAY 17 : The Minister for RWD, Science & Technology Honchun Ngandam on Tuesday attended the regional conference on Rural Development including PMGSY roads at Administrative Staff College, Guwahati.

A press release sent to this daily said that the conference was held and the focus was to review the rural development programs of the North East States including the PMGSY programme conducted. The union minister Rural Development Giriraj Singh attended the conference and discussed and reviewed the schemes and other issues of the region and also suggested and advised the states representative of the central government observation and guidelines and suggestions.  

The conference was attended by RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam, Secretary A.R Talwade, Diretor RD Kago Jelen, RWD Chief Engineer Nyai Regia, RWD SE & SQC (PMGSY) Tabu Paktung, CEO K.C Dhimoli, RTA, New Delhi, heads of NRSLM from Arunachal Pradesh along with officials of all North-East state participated in the said conference. All states of the region represented the conference.

Nangdam apprised and highlighted the problems faced by state and with other North-East States in implementation of various RD projects including PMGSY program and appealed the MoRD, for special consideration for the North East region. The minister also emphasized more support from the centre for the development of rural roads in the state.

Secretary, RD A.R Talwade highlighted the status of all RD programmes being implemented in the state and updated the work progress with regards to the rural connectivity in state.
