Recovery of body from Pare/Dikrong river continue

The repeated drowning case in Pare/Dikrong river is increasing day by day and recovery of dead bodies is also continuing is a matter of great concern.
Today yet another body of a young boy has been retrieved from Dikrong/Pare river. Informed an official.
Doimukh Police Station, Officer Incharge, Inspector Inya Ete informed that a body of a young boy Rahul Ali, aged around 16 years son of Shamaul Ali, a permanent resident of Laluk area of North Lakhimpur district of Assam and was temporary resident of Doimukh. The boy was drowned in the Dikrong river at around 11.50 hrs from Kola Camp area of Midpu.

The rescue operation was launched by Doimukh Police led by SI Niri Rama with the help of locality and meantime the NDRF based at Emchi, Doimukh also joined the search operation headed by NDRF Inspector Bhaskar Kumar. OC said.
Deep divers were also engaged by the NDRF team which resulted in locating the body and also due to broad daylight. OC Said.
The deceased went there with his friend Deep Sharkar to wash Scooty and bathing. The deceased drowned while swimming. OC said.
The body has been retrieved from the river.A case of unnatural death has been registered vide Doimukh Police station case no-7/2021 u/s- 174 CrPc and endorsed to SI N Rama to conduct further investigation.
After conducting Inquest and other legal formalities the body has been handed over to the parents for conducting last rite. OC added.
