ITANAGAR, NOV 21 ; Alleging of embezzlement of fund under NEC roads, the Gram Chairperson of Teririjo Panchayat segment under Persin block in under Kamle district Nido Borum on Monday filed an FIR at Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of APP in city.
In the FIR, GCP alleged that under the North East Council schemes construction of road from Tamen to Dollungmukh 107 kms roads in Lower Subansiri district now Kamle district during 2011 to 2018 and fund of Rs. 139.62 crore which were meant for the same has been mismanaged.
The said construction of roads was supposed to be completed as per the agreement which is yet to be completed. alleged Borum.
The scheme was allotted through Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) on 8 March 2011 and to be completed by 2018 but the same was not completed till date, which shows there is a nexus between officer and contractor, read the FIR.
Appealing to SIC to initiate thorough investigation against the offenders, the GCP lamented that leaving out an ambitious multi-crore road project downrightly incomplete was the lifeline of thousands of people.
