Police compensate aspirants called-off hunger strike decision after assurance from PHQ

ITANAGAR, The Arunachal Pradesh Police Compassionate Aspirant candidate has called off its proposed hunger strike in coming days as announced by the members on December 22 after two days of peaceful dharna to press their charter of demand for advertisement for recruitment of jobs on compensation grounds.

Sona Mangli, a member of the aspirants informed the newsperson while addressing a press conference at Arunachal Press club (APC) said that we have completed two days of peaceful dharna at tennis Court IG park recently. Accordingly we have announced to intensify our democratic movement but in between we met a senior police officer Irak Bagra at PHQ and he informed us that the matter is being take care of and is on priority, the advertisement process may be done before the January 26 and he requested us not to take strong decision and we have called off the hunger strike. He said.

The appointment and recruitment process are for the family members of the police personnel who laid down their lives during the line of duty and were disappointed as no authority from the PHQ has visited them to discuss them on the issue. Since due to non appointment and conducting recruitment process the requirement accumulated and demand grew up, so it is a request to the PHQ that when there is recruitment process the PHQ should also create vacancy and conduct recruitment process for compensate appointment every years that is much needy to the victim family avail the opportunity without waiting years after years. He said.

Mangli informed that if response from concerned authority as assured is not met up timely we may plan to continue with the democratic movement but today we announced to call off our proposed hunger strike and it was decided among us. He said.

When asked about the figure, He also claims that may be around 300 Aspirant candidates which might have accumulated across the state because since from 2019 but no recruitment process has been done on compassionate ground si it would  be better if the recruitment process need to be taken up or regular basis as of now there is around 27 vacant sanctioned post.
