North-East India Inter-State Friendship Car Rally concluded

Itanagar, Apr 25: The Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation hosted the participants of the North-East India Inter-State Friendship Car Rally for a deliberation session on the last day of the rally.

The deliberation session was attended by G P Upadhyaya, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Lukendra Rasaily, Chairman, STDC, Y.T Lepcha, MLA Gangtok cum Advisor Tourism Department, members of Travel Agency Association of Sikkim and other distinguished guests.

The speakers were highly appreciative of the mission of this rally. They felicitated all the participants and the officials of IFCRA. 

Speaking at the event, the hosts said that such events should be held at regular events and that tourism is an asset to the North East region of the country and that it is the second largest employer in the region after the government. 

IFCRA president, Pem Sonam thanked the Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang and the Tourism Minister Bedu Singh Panth for hosting the participants to a grand closing ceremony of a very successful rally.
