ITANAGAR, JULY 6 ; The central multidisciplinary team visited the state on Monday last and had several meetings with top officials of the health department and senior officers of state government on Tuesday.
A senior officer of the health department informed that the two members central team is on tour to the state and has been visiting several health institutions related to Covid 19 management and interacting with the medical faculty and officer managing the institution and related activities with regards to Covid 19 management.
As per information, Dr. Sanjay Sadhukhan, professor AIIH & PH. Kolkata and Dr. Somesh Thakur, Associate Professor, Pulmonary medicine, AIIMS, Patna is on a visit to the state and will visit some more locations of state capital and also interact with the district task force and district Covid management team through video conferencing on Wednesday.
The sources said that the central team on Tuesday visited the RT-PCR laboratory at TRIHMS, Naharlagun and interacted with Dr. Mika Umpo. The team also visited the TrueNat laboratory at C Sector, Naharlagun and interacted Nodal officer Dr. Mope Riba. The team also meets the Director health services Dr. M. Lego also has a meeting with the state task force. The team has an interaction with state nodal officer on Covid 19 Dr. Lopsang Jampa also.
The sources also informed that the team has also met the Secretary Health and formally with the Chief Secretary and has discussed various issues related with the Covid 19 management in state.
It is expected that the team with officers from health deptt are likely to visit the DCH Chimpu and other health institutions of state capital and may also discuss the progress of vaccination, treatment and other management related to Covid 19 pandemic. The sources added.
