Naharlagun, May 25: Longding police arrested two persons regarding a burglary that took place at Wancho Baptist Church Association and recovered Rs. 17 lakhs from the arrested person.
Longding police through a release informed that, on 16.05.2022, a burglary took place at Wancho Baptist Church Association where Approx Rs 17 Lakh was reported stolen by tearing apart the doors of two steel almirahs in the office.
Longding Police immediately started investigation of the sensational case. The team worked meticulously day and night to work out the case.
Today based on technical and human intelligence the team was able to zero in on the suspects and an operation to nab them was launched.
The team after conducting raids at multiple locations was able to nab both the accused namely: Khonak Wangpan, 30 yrs S/O Noklam Wangpan R/O Village Mintong, Profession : Clerk at WBCA, Yanlo centre and Phelam Wangpan, 25 yrs S/O Shri Noklam Wangpan R/O Village Mintong, Profession: Canteen boy at SBI Longding.
The full amount 17 Lakh has been recovered from their possession and seized. SP Longding informed.
