ITANAGAR, DEC 4 : The health and family welfare, SJETA Minister and WCD Alo LIbang on Sunday has lauded the members of Arunachal Pradesh dental association for their service to people and appeal them to rededicate themselves for the cause of better dental and oral health service in state.
Health Minister Libang was addressing the dental doctors and member of state branch of Indian dental association on the occasion of 7th annual state dental conference and governing body meeting here at state banquet hall amid huge gathering.
The health minister said that through their are shortage of dental surgeons but it has been observed that most of the people when they have serious dental problem then visit to hospital and they prefer to visit the private doctors to get immediate treatment and medicine, however the infrastructure and facility has been improving in compare to those days. Health care facility are also improving and the today’s young medicos need to take up the the treatment in scientific way so that the intervention of science and technology are also utilized for providing better treatment and health delivery system. Said Minister Health.
As of now there area around 75 dental doctors and surgeon and ration need to be improved but due no non availability of date it is difficult in planning process as of now there are a shortage of more than two hundred dental doctors and surgeons as per population. The state Government will see that what ever is needed will be taken care and whatever the infrastructure is needed would be taken up in phase manner. He said.
All the issued related to the dental and oral health care system has been deliberated and discussed in the conference. The state government has also viewed to proposed super specialty canter at TRIHMS, Naharlagun added Health Minister.
He further appeal the medial officer those who are posted to nay parts of state to go and serve the public and humanity so as the health facility and health scenario improved.
Principal Secretary (Health) Dr. Sarat Chouhan who attended the conference as guest of honour motivate the medial officers and dental doctors to provide better health service to the people of state. He lauded the doctors and surgeons to work hard with a commitment with a renewed zeal to improve the oral health and hygiene.
IDA-APSB Secretary Dr. Tage Tamo by power pint presentation highlighted the overview of dentistry in state and also highlighted several activities undertaken by the organisation since inception in 2010 to till date and service to the humanity and improvement of medical and dental health services.
TRIHMS Director Dr. Moji Jini, Medial education, research & training Director Hage Ambing, IDA-APSB President Dr. Opok Pertin, Secretary Dr. Tage Tamo and other executive members also address the conference.. A Souvenir “ Dent-O-Arun” was also release while the annual calendar of the organization was also released by the dignitaries on the occasion.
Earlier the dignitaries inspection the exhibition organized and preented by various organization engaged in dental service and company from region and country.
