High level committee constituted to enquire into the illegal appointment of Primary Teachers in Longding district, Report to be submitted in a week-Education Minister

ITANAGAR, MAY 23 : Education & Cultural affairs Minister Taba Tedir on Tuesday has announced that a high level committee has been constituted to enquired into the illegal primary teacher appointment issue in Longding district which has been surfaced in social media and media on Monday. 

Addressing media person, the education minister Tedir inform that “ It is  a matter of great concern that such illegal appointment has surfaced in social media and media on Monday and accordingly a meeting was convened at my office and discussed the matter and viewed seriously,  the issue of illegal appointment in the district of East Siang and West Siang was also discussed in length,  On enquiry from department it was informed that Show Cause notice has been issued to all the identified illegally appointed officials. The Minister said.

The department will naturally take further action as per Law and decide the matter as soon as possible. A high level committee has been constituted on Tuesday itself to enquire into the matter and will submit the report in a week. Based on the report and finding necessary action will be taken up and accordingly FIR will also be filed so that all the legal action may be initiated. Said Education Minister Tedir.

Enquiry order has been issued on the illegal appointments of teachers in Longding district ,being circulated in social media. To enquire into the illegal appointment surfaced in Longding District in various media platform and same was also raised by Longding Student Union, The Deputy Director of school education (DDSE) and director of elementary  education (DEE) both have been directed to submit the detailed report on appointment of teacher from 2018 before the APSSB Taken into the process till date. They are directed to seek detailed report from all DDSES posted in the districts about the appointment of teachers in various capacities for further reconciliation and crosscheck from Education department. Final action taken report is to be submitted within 15 (fifteen) days. Said Minister Taba Tedir.

I have asked for total numbers of teachers working in the state in various capacity should be prepared districts wise and salary released against these verified teachers to be reconciled by the respective DDSE so that any kind of anomaly or illegal appointment in future should be avoided. All DDSE are directed to submit the monthly salary release certificate of all the teachers working in their jurisdiction in the Format circulated by DEE and DSE, by first week of every month. He said.

The Committee to inquire into the illegal appointment of Primary Teachers in Longding District and following members Ira Singhal, IAS, Special Secretary, Education as Chairman, Sode Potom, Joint Secretary, Education-Member, Pill Topu, Under Secretary, Education-Member  and the Committee will submit its report within seven days on 29″ May/2023 (Monday). He said.

The Education Minister also raised that result of 1oth and 12″ standard for the year 2023 is highly disappointing and requested all the teacher organizations collaborate with Education department and further discuss this issue within the Teachers fraternity so to come out with the suggestions to improve the passing percentage for the State of Arunachal Pradesh in 10″ and 12th standard in future.

Earlier on Monday the Longding district students union (LDSU) has submitted a representation to Longding district deputy commissioner on Monday May 22nd that 28 individuals has been directly appointed illegally as regular primary teachers (PRTs) in various schools within Longding district. The LDSU President Tingo Wangsu and general secretary Panjam Wangsu in a written complain has sought appropriate action against the defaulters at the earliest.
