Heavy downpour created havoc in capital complex

ITANAGAR, JUNE 5 ; The continuous downpour has created havoc in the entire capital complex of state for last three days with report of destruction and damage of government and public property is being witnessed.
Report of landslide has been recieved from several colony/Sector of Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa administrative circles of Capital complex.

Damages of several RCC building, SPT, MIBT and OBT building has been reported from Upper Vivek Vihar, Borpani, Lekhi, forest colony and damsite areas. Report of landslide has been recieved from Adi Basti of Karsingsa with damage of fish pond, landslide on Karsingsa-Adi Basti which has blockdge the PMGSY road.

Damage of road leading to Niya colony and Primary school in Banderdewa has also been reported.
Due to heavy rainfall the portion of underconstruction road toward Konkara nallah from Forest colony in Naharlagun has also created lots of untold suffering to the locals due to mudslide spread in the colony and road leading to Damsite.

However man and machine from various department including capital complex, highway department, PWD, disaster management, capital police with support of IMC Corporater and public leaders and local residents has been pressed into service and extended help and support from the disaster as per information.

The capital administration has also started the relief camps in capital complex and has urged upon the citizens to remain alert and contact any administrative officer, police officer and also contact the control room for help.
