ITANAGAR: The state government on Tuesday February 8 through a notification by the Home department Dated Feb 8 said that the governor of Arunachal Pradesh was pleased to declare the establishment of the present cyber cell based at police headquarters (PHQ) as cyber crime police station.
The cyber crime police station will deals all types of cyber crime and for the purpose of registration, investigation and prosecution of offences under any other law for the time being force with its territorial jurisdiction whole of Arunachal Pradesh. The order said.
With this it will be the first Cyber Crime Police Station in Arunachal Pradesh. After the notification published in state gazette the crime branch which is heading several issues like SIT, CCTNS, CMCU, Cyber crime and other will pursue the PHQ and home department for providing of full pledge infrastructure including manpower, vehicle, technological equipment and office stationery and equipment so that the only cyber crime police of state work smoothly and solve several cyber crime related offences are resolved separately.
At present The cyber cell is functioning at PHQ since 2018 by the order of governor vide order No- HM(A)-11/2018 Dated Feb 9 2018 and the crime branch police station (SIT),PHQ, Itanagar to temporarily function as cyber crime police station for the purpose of registering and investigating cases related to cyber crime in Arunachal Pradesh.
By the oder of Home Department of Feb 8 the cuber cell will start functioning seperately and soon full pledge cuber crime police station start functioning properly and smoothly to crack several cyber crime cases registered so far and in future like of Paras Singh, Utuber of Ludhiana,Punjab, opetation of pomography website operating from NCR near Delhi and was victimizing Arunachalee women, Asstiant Professor of NERIST cheated through fraudient email and Amazon E-pay gift card, sexually morphed picture of CM of Arunachal Pradesh, unauthorised cash withdrawan transation case of a police Sub Inspector of APP by unknown miscreant and transfered to seven accounts and so many cases of Cyber related would be solved.
