Football for school (6-13 Yrs) 1st in country to be introduced in 200 schools of state

ITANAGAR, NOV 21 : The Arunachal Pradesh would be first in the region to launch football for school in 200 identified school for aged group of 6-13 school children. Said Taba Tedir

Speaking to press, Education & Cultural Affairs Minister and Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) President Taba Tedir inform that a memorandum between FIFA and Ministry of Education , GoI has been held to introduced the same for promotion of  football among the young children’s in early stage. He said accordingly every states has been asked to prepare for the same. Here in state today we have meeting and discussion on the issued was held wherein officers of education department and Sports departed executive members of Arunachal Pradesh football association (APFA) take part. Said Tedir.

Support from ministry of education and FIFA would be provided has planned to promote football in schools. National level and state level steering committee has been constituted and accordingly district level committee is being constituted. We have planned to implement in schools under the ministry of education having strength of students of aged group of 6-13 years will be imparted football and will be given training.  School having playground and physical education teacher will be utilized. We will also see that schools having more than 50 and 100 will be given preference and made free for all. Said Minister Tedir.

Union are working with a target to complete by December it is launched by Union Minister Education Dharmendra Pradhan

All India football federation (AIFF), Treasurer Kipa Ajay inform that the state football association has discussed to launched the programme in state and it would be first in state.   It is an initiative of the Prime Minister of India to introduce football game among the children to strengthened football among the young students. 

The launching programme will be held in January and Arunachal will be first in country to launch the programme and hope with this would help to popularize football in state and region. He said.

With the change of time, the games and sports is mandatory among the children, youth and even in older age to keep maintain a fit body and sound mind so daily exercise in necessary. So football is give preference and it would be a happy moment for launching the football for school from Arunachal Pradesh for whole of country. Added Ajay. 

Commissioner Education Padmini Singla, Secretary Sport & Youth Affairs Anirudh Singh, Director Sport Tadar Appa, Director Elementary Education Marken Kadu, Arunachal Olympic association (AOA) Secretary Bamang Tago, senior members of APFA Kipa Takum, Kipa Niya and others also take part and share their views and advice for smooth launching of the programme in state.
