Education and DIA Minister Taba Tedir visited Rural Bank

NAHARLAGUN, JUNE 17: The Education and DIA Minister Taba Tedir has visited Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) on Wednesday and had deliberation at length with the Chairman Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta in regards to banking services in various parts of state. he appeal the staffs to rededicate themselves for the cause of development of state and welfare of people.

Tedir motivated them to work in high spirit and take this bank to new heights. He congratulated the entire team for crossing the business of 1100 Crore and Post Tax Profit of 6 crore in last financial year which was a miracle. efforts taken by Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta for turning around the performance of the bank under his able leadership.

The APRB Chairman Dr. Gupta informed the Minister that APRB is serving across Arunachal Pradesh with 31 branches and 110 regular staff and almost 60 outsourced staffs and has presence in far flung areas also like Nacho, Taliha, Riga, Geku, Mariyang, Rumgong, Domporijo etc.

APRB is serving more than 2.50 lakh citizens of the State and is becoming a newly developed digital bank. It is no more like an old village kitchen but has many modern facilities like Mobile Banking, Internet Bank, Cheque Truncation System (CTS), Public Finance Management System for Govt Dept (PFMS), Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Personalised Cheque Book, ATM, ATM Cards and all government social security schemes. He said.

The bank is now flexing its muscles by opening not less than 10 ATMs across the state which will be mostly deployed in remote and rural areas. the Chairman said.

Dr. Gupta informed the minister that opening of ATM at Yachuli and Yazali which are under his constituency is also in pipeline. Bank will convert itself to a paperless bank by implementing a micro ATM in all branches soon and opening new accounts with paperless Video KYC mode.

This  government bank is doing extremely well towards SHG financing in Arunachal Pradesh under the guidance of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar. Dr. Gupta added.
