Itanagar, Dec 06: Capital police solved 2 Burglary Cases instantly and recovered the stolen property of one motorcycle and cash amount of Rs. 10 lakhs and twenty thousand.
Itanagar PS arrested accused persons and recovered the stolen property within 10 hours of the receipt of two separate cases of burglary today on 06/12/2022 under the close supervision of SP capital, Jimmy Chiram IPS and Pankaj Lamba IPS, SDPO Itanagar.
Capital police informed in a release that an FIR was received on December 5 that, some unknown person has stolen away one Motorcycle (R-15) from ESS sector Itanagar. A case was registered in PS Itanagar and police swung into action. With the help of electronic surveillance, it was learnt that the stolen motorcycle is playing in Biswanath Chariali District of Assam. A team of police consisting of HC Taba Vikash and Ct T. Mugli was dispatched to nab the unknown accused person(s) and recover the stolen motorcycle.
The police team successfully apprehended one accused person, identified as one Akash Tanti, 20 yrs from Petlibari of Vishwanath Charaili distt, Assam and recovered the stolen motorcycle from the possession of the accused person.
Further an FIR was received on 5 December from a complainant that, on 04/12/22 someone broke into the house of the complainant by breaking the door and stole a cash of Rs.12 lakhs.
Upon receipt of the complaint, a case was registered in Itanagar PS and SI .K. Tacha was endorsed with the case for investigation.
During the investigation, with the help of electronic means, one unknown person, later identified as one Md. Zakir Hussain was arrested by the team of Itanagar PS from Gohaindoloni under Bihpuria Police station, Assam. The accused person was hiding in his father- in- law’s house.
The police team recovered the stolen cash of Rs ten lakhs twenty thousand from the possession of the accused person. The accused had booked a train ticket to Kerala from Harmuti Assam the next day.
