Itanagar: Capital Police in Itanagar on valentine’s day began giving roses to those riding bikes without helmets, driving cars without seatbelt and violating other traffic rules instead of imposing fines on them.
The unique manner of creating awareness on helmet use and adherence to traffic rules was held across the city, informed capital SP Jimmy Chiram.
“With this drive, we hope traffic violators will be gently convinced enough to use the helmet while driving their two-wheelers and also follow other rules when they drive a car,” he added.
