Capital police arrested Prime accused of 721 kg suspected Ganja recovery case

Naharlagun, Jun 30: The Capital police arrested Prime accused of 721 kg suspected Ganja recovery case which was seized on last week.

The prime accused Tadar Chada in Naharlagun PS  CASE NO- 82/22 U/S 20(b)(ii)(C) /27a/29 NDPS ACT related to heavy seizure of drugs in Capital of 725kg suspected ganja (525 kg +195 kg) from two separate godowns has been arrested. Informed capital police.

Tadar Chada had earlier applied for bail in Sessions Court Yupia on 28/6/22 as police were actively searching for him. Court took up the case on 30/6/22 and rejected the bail based on strong opposing arguments by the Public Prosecutor and Capital Police in the interest of investigation.

After rejection of the bail, police arrested him from outside Yupia court before he fled again. The arrested person is Tadar Chada S/O- Tadar Hakap from Kurung Kumey District presently residing in Gollonallah area, Kankarnallah, Naharlagun. With this arrest, a total of 3 persons have been arrested in the case. Capital police are working on more arrests and recovery related to this case. 

It is expected that this huge recovery has dented the availability of Ganja in Capital in a big way. Capital police appeal to the public to keep coming forward with information on any such activities and help us fight drugs. Informed official.
