ITANAGAR, Dec 5:  The All Yachuli Student Union (AYSU) demanded the state government for creation of a new district with name of Keyi Panyor District by bifurcating from existing Lower Subansiri District.

Briefing the media person in a press conference held here at Arunachal press club (APC) at Ganga,  the AYSU president Baath Tolu informed that the demands for creation new district to Ziro-II is not a new one and the demands for creation of new district is the areas socio, economy, academic and cultural development and the Keyi Panyor District creation is dreams of our people. It is a long pending demand of the people. He said.

In lower Subansiri district there are two communities that are Nyishi in Ziro II and Apatani in Ziro and leaders of both the communities had also agreed for its bifurcation from existing Lower Subansiri district. Even representation has been submitted to the state government jointly two years back.

But matter is in cold storage and our people are in confusion as to why such genuine demands are not being fulfilled by the state government and one of the most important grievances of the people is not being addressed, he added.

We are very much happy with the ongoing development or progress of the Ziro-II area. We have no complaints about the developmental process, but we have to improve more, he further added.

And he also informed us that in this regard we have submitted our representation to the Chief Minister of state and also All Nyishi Student Union (ANSU) recently for reminder and also for immediate response.

If fails we will be compel to go for democratic movement
