ATM machine vandalized at Banderdewa, four person apprehended, case registered.

ITANAGAR, May 25: The capital police on Thursday apprehended four persons in connection with the ATM Machine burglary and theft case that had occurred in Banderdewa during wee hours of 25 May (Thursday) at around 3 am in the morning.

The Itanagar Capital complex (ICC) Assistant Superintendent of Police Thutan Jamba said that though detainees could not succeed in the theft and take away the cash and machine, but they damaged the ATM machine which is stated to be beyond its repairing. Tow of them were apprehended within a hour or two but two of them were apprehended later. 

Without disclosing the names of detainees, as the police is investigation the case to gather more information, ASP Jamba informed that on received of information regarding the same incident, where group of people were trying to rob the ATM boot located near PTC main gate, city control room responded and accordingly informed the Banderdewa Police station rushed to the place of occurrence and apprehended two person from the spot.

Subsequently, following the revelation made by the duo, another two persons was apprehended by the police who were absconding after committing crime, he added.

Considering the seriousness of the case and possible involvement of other persons, he also said, the Banderdew police station officer incharge led by Inspector Phasang Simi has intensified the investigation is being carried out by the investigation team, which will include examination of detainees’ mobile phones records.

Informing a case has been registered at Banderdewa police station, ASP appealed to the dwellers of the capital complex to inform the police control room as soon as possible, if they found any kind of such activities in the capital region.
