Army authority invited family members of war hero of  1962 Sino-India war martyr Nyelam Tabi in Tawang

TAWANG, NOV 15 : The army authority on Monday has invited the family members of War Hero of 1962 Sino-India war martyr Nyelam Tabi at Tawang and interacted with the family members and discussed  various issues.

The family members of the martyr were led by Nyelam Kecha (younger brother) and other members and executive members of Nyelam welfare society (NWS). The team was given a warm welcome by army commander N M Bendigiri and other senior officers of Army with other family members of War heroes from other state.The interaction programme was held near War Memorial campus built to remember 2420 war heroes of 1962 war etc.

The family members of martyr Tabi have approached the army authority for corrections of nomenclature in title and also accordingly for sending it to the National war memorial. The family members also sought for proper recognition, respect and regard of the martyr Tabi as given to several war heros of state and country.

The army authority has assured the team for necessary correction of spelling in  nomenclature and assured to send a letter to the national war memorial soon.

The army authority also assured to make necessary correction at War memorial stone written at Tawang war memorial alongwith 2420 war heros.

The officer lauded the family members for attending the interaction programme on very short notice at Tawang even in enclind weather.

The army officer requested the family members to attend special interaction programm on November 17 and 21 respectively.

The army offers further appeal the family to bless the defense personnel who are guarding the nation in all weather all the time under any circumstances.

It is to mention that Martyr Nyelam Tabi was working as rifleman who joined in 5th Assam Rifles and was trained at Assam Rifle Recruitment and Training center (RTC), Kimin in Papum Pare district, Arunachal Pradesh in around 1958-59 and joined the war front in Sino-India warfare in 1962 and fought battle at Bumla front in Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh and laid his life in guarding mother country.
