APPSC paper leakage: Two ADO terminated by Agriculture deptt: commissioner Bidol Tayeng

ITANAGAR, Mar 15: Continuing the termination process, two group “A” officers occupying the posts of Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) namely Dekni Romin and Yimar Rakshap has been terminated by the state Govt. from their services on 15th March in connection with the APPSC paper leak case. 

In a press release issued by Agriculture department commissioner Bidol Tayeng said that the two formers ADOs were earlier arrested by SIC (Vigilance) in connection with SIC/VIG/PS/C/NO-12/2022 U/S 120 (B)/406/409/420 IPC R/W SEC 7/8/13(2) of PC ACT 1988 on 24 and 30 November 2022 respectively. And later on they were suspended from their services respectively and They are still in Jail, Jully central jail, informed Commissioner Agriculture.

He also said that both the officers were served with Termination notice by the Department on 6.02.2023 with a time period of 30 days for replay and the notices were served to them at the Jully District jail. However, none of the officers have replied to the notice. Latter on they served termination letter by following the norms. Both former ADO officers were posted in different locations in the state.  

One more official of Agriculture Department Talung Jomang, AFA was also arrested by SIC (Vigilance) in connection with SIC (Vigilance) PS Case No. 11/2022 U/S 120(B)/420/406/407/409 IPC R/W Sec. 7/8/13(2) PC Act 1988 and He is still in Jail. He has also been placed under suspension and Disciplinary proceeding could not be completed due to certain previous judgment of the Supreme 

Court in a similar case. 

Recently on 3 March six cadet sub-inspectors of the state police who were undergoing training at the NEPA, Shillong in Meghalaya have been terminated from their services in connection with the APPSC paper leak case. They were, earlier, arrested in the first week of January in connection with SIC/VIG/PS/FIR-12/2022.

The terminated cadets are Yon Talom, Pakjum Gamlin, Jembang Darang, Kangkeng Garu, Kaling Jerang and Kali Yomcha.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu gave a statement during the recent budget session that all officers who were involved in APPSC Fiasco should be taken to task right from suspension, departmental enquiry and even termination at the same time the legal action will continue as per law.
