ITANAGAR, APRIL 28: The All Kra Daadi district students union (AKDDSU) has declared a three phase bandh call to press their demand before the state government.
In a press confrence here at Arunachal press club (APC) here today afternoon, The AKDDSU President Pakyum Talop said that we do understand the time and situation of Covid pandemic but we have loose up all the patience waiting for solution of our genuine demand which has been forward to the state government and Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) for a resolution and immediate consideration.
He said that we have been disappointed and think it is a disrespect by the APSSB and state government to the people of the district by dishonoring and giving a solution to very genuine demand of the public of the district. He said.
We hereby declare the 1st phase of democratic .movement in form of 12 hours district bandh on May 10 from morning 5 AM to evening 5 PM, followed by 24 hours band from May 20 morning 5 AM to May 21 morning 5 AM and the 3rd phase of the band will be of 48 hours on May 31st morning 5 AM to June 2nd 5 AM. He said.
We are not asking any new thing for our district but our charter of demand which include conduct of interview for appointment of 41 sanctioned vacant post of Kra Daadi district which has been lying pending with APSSB, providing of fire brigade and fire station and immediate establishment of multipurpose educational counseling centre with lodging facility. He said.
He said that the state govt has sanctioned 41 posts in 2016 and advertisements were also done but due to technical problems it could not be done and after the constitution of APSSB the post is still lying with APSSB office for advertisement. We meet all authority but in vain. The union has carried out peaceful dharna at IG Park but till date we are receiving only assurance but till date no advertisement takes place may be due to local body poll and others but such excuse is only nothing but we are only visiting the office every month and getting assurance.
Since the Kra Daadi is a newly created district and already facing the manpower shortage to carry out smooth administrative and other important works of district He said.
Hundreds of youths of the district are waiting since then and few of them age limit are also going out and is a serious issue and unemployment is increasing day by day. The AKDDSU president said.
Referring to establishment of fire station in Kradaadi Talop said that we have submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister at Tali in January and with another reminder later on but till date no action has been Initiated. He said
On third demand for establishment of multipurpose educational counseling centre with hostel facility. He said that our district is new and is in dire need of such a centre due to poor infrastructure. He added.
There is no proper accommodation and during the counselling period the students coming from five Education blocks face lots of difficulties. He added.
We will stick to our demand and democratic movement until our demand is met. Talop added.
