48 out of 136 beneficiaries received the compensation of NH-415

BANDERDEWA, MAY 24: A total of 48 beneficiaries have received the compensation of their property/infrastructure of National Highway-415 for Package-C from Nirjuli to Banderdewa on 1st day of the distribution. Informed an official.

Naharlagun EAC and Chairman of Highway Compensation Board of NH-415 Package-B & C, Likha Radh inform that as per schedule we started the disbursement of the compensation for structures and assets on National Highway (NH-415) from Nirjuli to Banderdewa for Package-C today and till 4 PM we distribute to 48 beneficiaries only.  There is an issue of Covid pandemic and Covid behaviors and also due to lockdown in the capital region most of the beneficiaries could not reach out to the office of the Circle officer here today being the first day. Radh said.

All 136 beneficiaries were to be given away with the compensation but due to some problems and other issues only 98 beneficiaries were earmarked for distribution from May 24 to 28th out of which 48 persons were given away today. A total amount of Rupees One crore sixty five lakh thirty four thousand one hundred seventy two (Rs. 1.65.34.172) has been given away to 48 beneficiaries out of total Eleven crore sixty nine lakhs. Radh said.

The disbursement shall continue upto May 28 during the office working hours, those who do not receive the compensation payment during these four days due to lockdown and medical issue may also collect their payment with production of all necessary documents as required at the office of the Chairman, Naharlaugn. Radh informed.

The compensation is being paid from the chainage no-51.700 to 59.199 of 7.5 Kilometer from catholic church located at Nirjuli to Banderdewa. The highest amount of compensation to the beneficiaries is Rs. 72.07 lakhs while the lowest amount is stated to be Rs. 3.794, today the highest was 14.63.200 and the lowest was 4.100. Radh added.
