28 members team including  24 players took part in 55th senior national Kho-Kho championship in Maharashtra.

ITANAGAR, DEC 1 : The 28 members team including 24 players of out of which 12 male and 12 female players form Arunachal Pradesh take part in 55th senior national Kho Kho championship held at Tulaja bhavani District at Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Osmanabad, Maharashtra. A press release issued from Kho Kho association of Arunachal Pradesh (KKAAP) Secretary General Puto Bui said.

The 55th Senior National Kho Kho Championship was held at Tulaja bhavani District at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Osmanabad, Maharashtra, w.e.f, 20th to 24th Nov ‘2022. It is a National Level Competition among the states, union territories in which our Arunachal Pradesh Kho Kho Team also participated, consisting of 28 members in which 12 men players led by Manager Kalyan Kumar Dan and Matuni Padung ( Coach) and 12  women players led by Yayi Jamoh (Manager) and Koyam Langkam as Coach respectively. KKAAP said. 

On 15th Nov ‘2022, Arunachal Pradesh team were formally flagged off at Dibrugarh Railway Station and the team started the Journey on the same date.

The inaugural function was held at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, on 20th Nov ‘2022 in Osmanabad, Maharashtra. The Minister Ajit Pawar, Leader of opposition, Govt. of India has inaugurated the opening ceremony. The programme was started with flag hoisting by Political dignitaries and Maharashtra Kho Kho association. KKAAP Secy General Bui added.

The team returned back on Nov 28 and all the members were given away with the certificate of participation by the Kho kho federation of India (KKFI). KKAAP further said.
