ITANAGAR, JUNE 18 ; In a massive landslide triggered by rain has hit a residential building in Koloriang township of Kurung Kumey district in which 1 person has reportedly died on spot while two sustained injuries. Informed an official.
Koloriang Police station, OC Inspector G Basar informs that as per information received that one person has died on sport while two sustained grievous injuries who are under treatment. A written FIR has been received from Bengia Tajik that a landslide occurred at Malapu area of Koloriang township at around 2.30 AM wherein a dwelling has been completely damaged. OC said.
Bengia Yaniam, a young lady died on spot while two others were severely injured who have been admitted in hospital and are under treatment. He said adding that a case of unnatural death has been registered vide KLG PS US Case no-3/21 u/s-174 CrPc and further investigation has been launched.
Koloriang local MLA Lokam Tassar while condoling the death of a young lady in a tragic landslide. Tassar has mourned the death and prayed for eternal peace of departed souls in heavenly abode.
Let us see what we can do to help the victim’s family for reconstruction of the residential building. We will support them. I have spoken about the matter with the Chief Minister and also to the Deputy Commissioner for forwarding of the case for grant of ex gracias and other help to the deceased family and also to the victims those who have been injured in the incident. Tassar added.
